Soccer Game Preview: Monadnock vs. Stevens

Monadnock is 0-10 against Stevens since August of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Huskies will head out to take on the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Monadnock is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Sanborn Regional a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. Monadnock haven't had any issues with Sanborn Regional recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Stevens faced Hopkinton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cardinals blew past the Hawks 5-1. Fans of Stevens have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Stevens' win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Monadnock, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Monadnock might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Stevens when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
