The Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Pike Valley with a sharp 61-40 win. That looming 61-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Sylvan-Lucas yet this season.

Despite the defeat, Pike Valley had strong showings from Gavin Massell, who scored 17 points, and Andrew Cooper, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Cooper scored a full 30% of Pike Valley's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Field, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Sylvan-Lucas' win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Pike Valley, they bumped their record down to 2-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
