Basketball Game Preview: Enid Plainsmen vs. Sapulpa Chieftains

The Enid Plainsmen will venture away from home to take on the Sapulpa Chieftains at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Enid is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Bartlesville to the tune of 78-37 on Friday. Given the Plainsmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Bruins are ranked 277th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Sapulpa lost to Northwest Classen at home by a 74-58 margin on Friday.

Sapulpa has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Enid, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Everything came up roses for Enid against Sapulpa in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 74-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Enid since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
