Football Recap: Toms River South Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Toms River South and Southern Regional meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Indians were outmatched by the Rams and fell 34-7. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Rams are ranked 40th).

Toms River South's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Southern Regional, their record now sits at 8-1.

As of now, neither Toms River South nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
