Basketball Recap: Omaha Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Whiting last Thursday, Omaha Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Omaha Christian Academy Eagles fell just short of Heartland Christian by a score of 54-51 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since February 19, 2024.

Omaha Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Heartland Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.

Omaha Christian Academy will welcome Omaha Nation on Tuesday. Omaha Nation knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Omaha Christian Academy likes a good challenge. Heartland Christian has already played their next game (against Cornerstone Christian School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
