Basketball Recap: Veronica Clark and Kate Corley Secure Win for Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri

On Tuesday, the Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri Crusaders strolled past the Eagle Heights Christian Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 39-21. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Leading Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri to victory were Kate Corley and Veronica Clark. Corley went 11 for 26 en route to 24 points along with seven rebounds and six steals, while Clark posted four points in addition to 18 blocks and seven boards. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Corley has scored at least a third of Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri's points. Another player making a difference was Sophi Burkhart, who had four points and four steals.

Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Eagle Heights Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
