There's no place like home for Wyoming Area, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against MMI Preparatory School on Saturday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Warriors not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 25-19.

Wyoming Area's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allison Layland, who had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Layland has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Kivak, who had five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Wyoming Area was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 35 aces. They served 23 more aces than MMI Preparatory School's also-impressive total of 12.

Wyoming Area's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2. As for MMI Preparatory School, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6.

Wyoming Area wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Wilkes-Barre on the 22nd. As for MMI Preparatory School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Greater Nanticoke Area on the 22nd.
