Football Recap: Arrowhead Christian Comes Up Short

Arrowhead Christian had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it five. They came up short against the Linfield Christian Lions, falling 27-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 36-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Even if they lost, Arrowhead Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Mattias Woodruff was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Linfield Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 40-0).

A big part of Linfield Christian's victory came down to the chemistry between Charlie Bohmer and his top target Isaac Moreno. Bohmer threw for 335 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 20-for-20 passing while Moreno picked up 247 receiving yards and three TDs. With that strong performance, Moreno is now averaging an impressive 114.6 receiving yards per game.

Coming up, Arrowhead Christian will face off against Maranatha at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Minutemen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 27 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Linfield Christian, they will welcome Big Bear at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
