Volleyball Recap: Clifton-Clyde Comes Up Short

Clifton-Clyde was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Linn Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

While Clifton-Clyde had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19.

Clifton-Clyde's defeat dropped their record down to 18-17. As for Linn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

Clifton-Clyde does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Linn, after both having extra time off, they and Peabody-Burns will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
