AUBURN, Ill. -
Williamsville (Ill.) grabbed the lead when
Josh Lindsey ran for a touchdown with 11:00 to go in the fourth quarter and held on to beat
Auburn (Ill.) 21-14 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured two lead swaps.
After taking the lead on a
Korben Clark touchdown pass to
Jared Wilson, the Trojans went into halftime with a 14-7 lead. The Bullets scored the winning points with a Lindsey touchdown run that came in the fourth quarter.
Williamsville came into the game allowing 6.8 points per game.
A 17-0 Williamsville victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Auburn defeated Pawnee 49-14 last week. The loss broke Auburn's three-game winning streak.
