Football Recap: Fleming Takes a Loss

Fleming dropped to 4-5 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They took a blow against the Idalia Wolves, falling 58-22. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-0.

Although Fleming took the loss, they still got scores from Jaron Monroe, Conner Marchant, and Draven Oldenburg.

As for Idalia, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 63.2 points this season.

Broderick Kite had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 51 yards. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Looking ahead, Fleming will be playing in front of their home fans against Caliche at 2:00 p.m. on November 1. As for Idalia, they are taking a road trip to square off against Miami-Yoder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will be up against the Buffaloes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.63 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
