Soccer Recap: Fort Bend Austin Takes a Loss

Fort Bend Austin lost against Ridge Point back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Ridge Point Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 553rd, while the Panthers are ranked 168th).

Fort Bend Austin has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-4 record this season. Ridge Point pushed their record up to 13-4-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Fort Bend Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ridge Point will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brazoswood at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th.
