Baseball Recap: Thoreau Comes Up Short

Thoreau lost against Zuni back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hawks lost 17-2 to the Thunderbirds. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jordan Calladitto made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Thoreau's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Zuni, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Thunderbirds beat Thoreau by a score of 11-3 later that day.
