Basketball Game Preview: Scarborough Red Storm vs. Falmouth Navigators

Scarborough is 3-0 against Falmouth since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Scarborough Red Storm will venture away from home to face off against the Falmouth Navigators at 7:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Scarborough will head into Thursday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They came up short against South Portland, falling 47-25. The contest marked the Red Storm's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Falmouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 55-22 loss at the hands of Brunswick. While losing is never fun, the Navigators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Dragons are ranked 18th).

Falmouth's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Scarborough, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Scarborough took their victory against Falmouth when the teams last played back in December of 2018 by a conclusive 49-25. Does Scarborough have another victory up their sleeve, or will Falmouth turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
