Volleyball Recap: Lee's Summit Comes Up Short

Lee's Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Nixa Eagles. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Reese Ahuna paced Lee's Summit's offense, picking up six kills. Ahuna got some help from Jayden Holstrom and his 18 assists. Holstrom was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Lee's Summit's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Nixa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-10.

Lee's Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nixa, they will take on Lee's Summit West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
