Basketball Game Preview: Sterling Heights Stallions vs. Lamphere Rams

The Sterling Heights Stallions will venture away from home to challenge the Lamphere Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Sterling Heights came up short against Clintondale and fell 55-46. The Stallions haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lamphere, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They breezed by Madison to the tune of 59-28 on Tuesday. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Lamphere's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.8 points. As for Sterling Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Sterling Heights came up short against Lamphere in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 71-61. Can Sterling Heights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
