Baseball Recap: Byron Comes Up Short

Byron couldn't beat Austin on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Bears fell just short of the Packers by a score of 5-4. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Packers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Byron's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Austin, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Byron will venture away from home to challenge Lake City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Austin, they will head out to square off against Northfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
