Basketball Recap: Ash Grove Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Ash Grove won the last time they faced Sarcoxie and things went their way on Thursday too. The Ash Grove Pirates walked away with a 56-43 victory over the Sarcoxie Bears. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Bears are ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ash Grove has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Sarcoxie, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5.

Ash Grove will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lockwood at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Sarcoxie has already played their next game (against Seneca), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
