Softball Game Preview: William Allen Canaries vs. Louis E. Dieruff Huskies

The William Allen Canaries will take on the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 12 consecutive losses for William Allen and 25 for Louis E. Dieruff dating back to last season.

Friday just wasn't the day for William Allen's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Emmaus, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Louis E. Dieruff also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Allentown Central Catholic on Friday, falling 15-0.

Louis E. Dieruff's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for William Allen, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

William Allen came out on top in a nail-biter against Louis E. Dieruff in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Canaries have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
