Basketball Recap: Milton Takes a Loss

Milton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 61-50 to the Hughesville Spartans. The Black Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in February.

Milton's record now sits at 1-7. As for Hughesville, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Hughesville will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Southern Columbia Area at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
