Softball Recap: St. Scholastica Has No Trouble Against Maurepas

St. Scholastica's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 20-7 margin over the Maurepas Wolves. Considering the Doves have won four contests by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Scholastica got a massive performance out of Aubrianne Kavanaugh, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Addison Pontiff, who scored four runs while going 4-for-4.

St. Scholastica was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .463. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February of 2024.

With the victory, St. Scholastica broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6. As for Maurepas, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
