Volleyball Recap: Sandusky Comes Up Short

Sandusky was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marion Harding Presidents. If the Blue Streaks were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Presidents when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Sandusky sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 20-25, 25-21.

Sandusky's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Marion Harding, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.

Looking ahead, Sandusky will square off against Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marion Harding, they will venture away from home to face off against Mansfield Senior at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
