Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln High vs. Lincoln East

Lincoln High hasn't had much luck against Lincoln East recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Links will be playing at home against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lincoln High's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Columbus. Lincoln High wouldn't have won without Bashir Bashir, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Lincoln East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln Southwest. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Lincoln East couldn't quite close it out.

Lincoln High now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lincoln East, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
