Baseball Recap: John Paul the Great Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against First Baptist Christian last Tuesday, John Paul the Great Academy came back down to earth. John Paul the Great Academy lost 15-1 to the Christian Home Educators Fellowship Patriots on Friday. The contest marked the Guardians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

John Paul the Great Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Angelle, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Angelle is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

John Paul the Great Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Christian Home Educators Fellowship, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. John Paul the Great Academy will challenge rival Acadiana Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Christian Home Educators Fellowship is set to take on their familiar foe Christian Academy of Louisiana at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
