Andrew Blair Turns in Season-Best Effort
Andrew Blair produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Superior to the win on Friday. Blair rushed for 262 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.6 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win got Superior back to even at 4-4. Blair and Superior will square off against Valley Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hayden Wins 20th-Straight Thanks to Kino Lorona
Kino Lorona was instrumental in extending Hayden's winning streak to 20 on Friday. Lorona rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. His longest reception was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.
Cicero Prep Academy had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Lorona it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Lorona saw the Centurions), he picked up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown.

Tyler Garner was instrumental in extending Hayden's winning streak to 20 on Friday. Garner rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 100.1 rushing yards per game.
On the year, Garner has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 100.1 rushing yards per game.

Duarte Made His Presence Known in Superior's 60-40 Win
Ryland Duarte posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
On the season, Duarte has averaged 57.9 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 23.14 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 37 rushing yards.

Paul Gaither and Co. Win 20th in a Row
Paul Gaither's big game helped extend Hayden's winning streak to 20 on Friday. Nobody could stop Gaither as he threw for 145 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes.
Unfortunately for Cicero Prep Academy, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Gaither. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Gaither saw the Centurions), he threw for 238 yards and five touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.
