New Smyrna Beach entered their tilt with Pine Ridge on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-10 last Monday.

New Smyrna Beach got a massive performance out of Jesse Brock, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Brock a new career-high in RBI (three). Teague Carosella was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Brock wasn't the only one making solid contact: New Smyrna Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for the Barracudas: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.

New Smyrna Beach's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Pine Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8-2.
