It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Dawson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Pearland Oilers. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Dawson got a great performance from Bennett Schnee as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Schnee has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dawson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Walls, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Walls has posted since back in April of 2024.

Dawson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 8.67 hits in those games compared to only 4.92 in the others. As for Pearland, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

Dawson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Pearland: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
