Basketball Recap: Canton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Canton waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Harrisville Pirates by a score of 47-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Bears also won the last time the pair played back in March.

Harrisville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joe Shepherd, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Chartrand, who had nine points.

Canton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Harrisville, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Canton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Oswego at 1:45 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Harrisville and Gouverneur will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Harrisville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
