Volleyball Recap: Savannah Christian Extends Winning Streak to Five

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Savannah Christian walked away with it. They blew past the Atlanta International Eagles 3-0 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-9.

Ella Burgstiner paced Savannah Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Burgstiner got some help from Carinne Cason and her 36 assists. Cason was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Savannah Christian's victory bumped their record up to 29-10. As for Atlanta International, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14.

Coming up, Savannah Christian will host Holy Innocents Episcopal at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Atlanta International does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
