Baseball Recap: Vinton Takes a Loss

Vinton has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 12-5 to the Kinder Yellowjackets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Vinton fell to 5-1. As for Kinder, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Vinton will host Lake Charles College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Vinton's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Lake Charles College Prep's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kinder, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against East Beauregard on the 22nd.
