Trotwood-Madison took a 34-point loss the last time they faced off against Aiken, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trotwood-Madison Rams had just enough and edged the Aiken Falcons out 78-76. The win was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won 13 matchups in a row.

Trotwood-Madison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jermiel Atkins, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Atkins' third in a row with at least 15 points. Darius Dennis was another key player, going 8-for-12 on his way to 19 points and seven boards.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaiden Arnold, who went 11-for-21 to rack up 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Arnold continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was James Burnett Jr., who went 11-for-19 en route to 23 points and five assists.

Trotwood-Madison's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.3 points over those games. As for Aiken, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 21-1.

Looking ahead, Trotwood-Madison will head out on the road to square off against Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aiken does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
