Tolar and Eastland are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Tolar Rattlers will welcome the Eastland Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastland took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Tolar, who comes in off a win.

Tolar not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 3, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Millsap. The victory continues a trend for the Rattlers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Drake Owens made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Owens was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nolan Cauble, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and six RBI. Another player making a difference was Hunter Michels, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Tolar kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millsap only managed six hits.

Meanwhile, Eastland came up short against Breckenridge on Wednesday, falling 19-6.

Tolar's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Eastland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2.
