Ellsworth hadn't done well against Beloit recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bearcats came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Trojans back in August, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Ellsworth easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17.

Ellsworth has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season. As for Beloit, their defeat ended a 21-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 22-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trojans beat Ellsworth by a score of 2-1 later that day.
