Recap: Rouse Raiders vs. Port Neches-Groves Indians
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Rouse Raiders can now relate to. They took a serious blow against the Indians on Friday, falling 51-14. Rouse was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.
London Morgan threw for 179 yards and a touchdown. Keller Rogers was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards.
Blair Chatagnier had an outrageously good game for Port Neches-Groves as he rushed for 191 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Chatagnier was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. London Nunley also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Rouse's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Port Neches-Groves, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Rouse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Port Neches-Groves will face off against Lake Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Creek is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
