Basketball Game Preview: Ashland Arrows vs. Sandusky Blue Streaks

The Ashland Arrows will take on the Sandusky Blue Streaks at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Sandusky likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Ashland didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Madison Comprehensive, but they still walked away with a 66-62 win. The victory continues a trend for the Arrows in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Sandusky was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 73-69 to Ross. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Streaks came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Little Giants are ranked 230th).

Sandusky's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Ashland, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Things could have been worse for Ashland, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 78-59 loss to Sandusky in their previous meeting back in February of 2024.
