Basketball Recap: Ashe County Huskies vs. Watauga Pioneers

Ashe County played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Watauga Pioneers 70-43. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now lost five in a row.

Cade Keller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Watauga, going 9-for-12 on his way to 21 points and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Keller now owns an excellent 45.6% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Railey, who went 7-for-14 en route to 15 points and three steals.

Ashe County's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Watauga, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
