Baseball Recap: Aurora Wins Going Away Against Copley

While Aurora didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Copley Indians 10-3 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Greenmen, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Noah Bolbach looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Aurora got a big performance out of Braeden Wamser, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Drew Scott was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Aurora always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They are 5-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Aurora and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Copley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Aurora beat the Indians by a score of 11-3 on Tuesday.
