Football Recap: Bloomingdale Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Bloomingdale lost to Plant back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bloomingdale Bulls came out on top against the Plant Panthers by a score of 14-6. Given the Bulls' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Panthers are ranked 139th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bloomingdale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexa (Lexi) Serniotti, who threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 51 yards.

Bloomingdale pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.2 points on average over those games. As for Plant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Bloomingdale has already played their next matchup, a 35-0 win against Leto on the 4th. As for Plant, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-7 defeat against Newsome on the 5th.
