Corona has gone 9-1 against Norco recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will square off against the Cougars at 3:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Corona comes in on eight and Norco on 11.
Corona is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Los Osos as they made off with an 11-2 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Seth Hernandez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most home runs he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jesiah Andrade, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Anthony Murphy was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Corona was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.
Laguna Beach typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Norco proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Breakers 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since April 8th.
Landon Hovermale spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.
At the plate, Dylan Seward was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
Norco pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Corona, their record is now 27-2.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Corona hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like Norco struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
