There's no place like home for South Laurel, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Harlan County Black Bears a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
Bailey Frazier was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Lewis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and two runs.
South Laurel has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Harlan County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
