Volleyball Recap: PikeView Takes a Loss

PikeView was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the James Monroe Mavericks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-7, 25-14.

PikeView's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for James Monroe, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. PikeView will challenge Bluefield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for James Monroe, they will take on Clay County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
