Basketball Game Preview: Pope Greyhounds vs. Lassiter Trojans

The Pope Greyhounds will take on the Lassiter Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pope is headed into Tuesday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a blow against Creekview on Tuesday, falling 59-22. The Greyhounds were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-13.

Meanwhile, Lassiter hadn't done well against Woodstock recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Lassiter enjoyed a cozy 57-42 victory over Woodstock.

Lassiter's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Pope, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.

Everything went Pope's way against Lassiter in their previous meeting back in January, as Pope made off with a 59-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pope since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
