Douglas is a perfect 10-0 against McQueen since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 3:45 p.m. Douglas' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so McQueen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Douglas is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Galena, who was ranked 25th at the time (Douglas was ranked fifth). The Tigers put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 12-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Tigers have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Camryn McLelland was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. McLelland was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March.

Douglas was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive games.
Carson hit McQueen with a ten-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lancers fell 10-5 to the Senators.
Lilly Fanene and Anna Wangberg stepped up to the plate in a big way. Fanene went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while Wangberg went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Hawkins, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Douglas is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for McQueen, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-12.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Douglas hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .375. However, it's not like McQueen struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Douglas took their win against McQueen in their previous meeting on April 9th by a conclusive 10-1 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
