Basketball Recap: Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Allie McIntosh. The Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion blew past the Neuse Christian Academy Lions 44-20 on Monday thanks in part to McIntosh, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave her a new career-high.

Belle Heinrich was another key player, putting up four points and seven rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Neuse Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Morgan Little, who posted six points.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points per game. As for Neuse Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill will be playing at home against Thales Academy Apex at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill has won three straight at home, while Thales Academy Apex won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Neuse Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
