Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Melstone couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 56-43 to the Powder River County Hawks on Thursday. The Broncs' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Melstone's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Powder River County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-8.
