Great Bend had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the McPherson Bullpups. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 5-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Trenton Kern, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Carter Dreiling, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Great Bend's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for McPherson, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Great Bend will head out to challenge Blue Valley Southwest on Friday. As for McPherson, they will welcome Lyons on Friday.
