Basketball Preview: Castle Rock Rockets vs. La Center Wildcats
Castle Rock is 1-9 against the Wildcats since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Castle Rock Rockets will be playing at home against the La Center Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Castle Rock scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-39 win over Stevenson. The win was just what Castle Rock needed coming off of a 58-18 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Kelsey Poyner, who shot 5-for-9 from deep and dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Kynsi Bayes was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, La Center entered their tilt with the Bruins with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. La Center snuck past the Bruins with a 36-30 win on Wednesday.
Castle Rock's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for La Center, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.
