Football Recap: Cookeville Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maryville, Cookeville was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 30-13 victory over the Farragut Admirals.

It was another big night for Blake Barrett, who rushed for 230 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. Those 230 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Barrett was just one part of a punishing run game: Cookeville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Cookeville's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Farragut, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.

Coming up, Cookeville will head out on the road to take on Mount Juliet on Friday. As for Farragut, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Admirals' defense better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 32.4 points per game this season.
