After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Woodlands, Caney Creek was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cleveland Indians with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Panthers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 5th (when they won 3-0).

Caney Creek's got stronger as the match went on, holding Cleveland to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-8.

Kaylyn McConnell paced Caney Creek's offense, picking up seven kills. McConnell got some help from Marissa Solorzano and her 20 assists. Solorzano also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Zuli Rivera, each putting up three.

Caney Creek's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-22. As for Cleveland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-32 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Caney Creek will face off against rival College Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cleveland is set to square off against their familiar foe The Woodlands at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
