After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Woodlands, Caney Creek was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cleveland Indians with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Panthers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 5th (when they won 3-0).
Caney Creek's got stronger as the match went on, holding Cleveland to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-8.
Kaylyn McConnell paced Caney Creek's offense, picking up seven kills. McConnell got some help from Marissa Solorzano and her 20 assists. Solorzano also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Zuli Rivera, each putting up three.
