Liberty barely beat Allentown Central Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 38-14 victory on Thursday. The matchup was close at halftime, but the Hurricanes turned on the heat in the second half with 21 points.

Liberty had a senior duo take command as Antonio Fontanez rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown and Adriaan Deleon rushed for 133 yards and one score while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 73 yards. Zyaire Davis also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.

Liberty was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

The win got Liberty back to even at 1-1. As for Allentown Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, Liberty will challenge Stroudsburg at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for Allentown Central Catholic, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on the 6th.
